There are a few trains that pass through and/or originate from Sambalpur that give new and/or additional connectivity to Odisha; some of them are beyond what is available from the capital city of Odisha. Some of these trains are:

• Sambalpur-JAT express - 4 times a week (https://indiarailinfo.com/train/sambalpu...002/245/81): There is no connectivity to JAT from Bhubaneswar.
  
• Maurya Express - daily (https://indiarailinfo.com/train/maurya-e...73/245/539) to from Gorakhpur: There is no connectivity to Gorakhpur from Bhubaneswar.
  
• Nagavalli Express - 3 times a week (https://indiarailinfo.com/train/nagawali...7/245/1676) to/from Nanded: There is no connectivity to Nanded from Bhubaneswar
  
• Tata-Ernakulum Express - daily (https://indiarailinfo.com/train/tatanaga...000/245/52): There is a daily Vivek express that passes through Bhubaneswar.
  
• Dhanbad-Alleppy Express - daily (https://indiarailinfo.com/train/dhanbad-.../33/245/54): There is only a biweekly train between Alleppy and Bhubaneswar.

She said 20 acre of land had been allocated on lease by the state government in Binjhagiri mouza of Jatni tehsil to the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN). Though funds are available, CCRYN is not able to take possession of the land due to lack of support from the local administration. She requested the chief minister to issue appropriate direction to the Khurda district administration to make the land available for construction of CRIYN.

IDEA: A new train in the route Jeypore - Koraput Jn - Suku -  Paliba - Machhkunda Road - Bheja - Padua - Darliput - Kottavasla Jn - Vizianagaram - Brahmapur - Bhubaneswar.

Why: 

• The stations Suku -  Paliba - Machhkunda Road - Bheja - Padua - Darliput  do not have direct connection to the capital region.
  
• Connecting them to the capital region would help develop the toursim potential of that area which includes mountains, valleys, waterfalls as well as large water bodies.

Quote:The Ministry of Coal on Thursday issued allocation orders for 3 coal mines in Odisha’s Angul district to different companies.

While Machhakata (Revisied) coal mine has been allocated to NLC India Limited, Kudanali Lubri and Sakhigopal-B Kakurhi have been allocated to Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Limited and TANGEDCO respectively. Of these three coal mines, one is fully explored coal mine and two are partially explored ones.
