As per https://www.newindianexpress.com/states/...3360-crore there will major upgradation of MKCG MCH at Berhampur, VIMSAR at Burla, Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH) and Acharya Harihar PG Institute of Cancer (AHPGIC) at Cuttack at the cost of Rs 850 crore, Rs 950 crore, Rs 660 crore and Rs 900 crore, respectively.
So Odisha should have 4640 medical seats now and 4910 medical seats by 2036.

So there is need for at least 10 more medical colleges and some of the existing ones need to expand their capacity.

As per https://medicaldialogues.in/pdf_upload/n...302304.pdf two new medical colleges in Phulbani and Talcher with 100 seats each has now been approved by the NMC and they are part of the seat matrix of this admission cycle.
This takes the total number of medical colleges in Odisha to 21 with 2975 total seats.
