According to officials, the expressway will run through four states—West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh—covering a total length of about 1,102 km. Of this, 522 km will pass through Odisha and will be constructed entirely as a new greenfield alignment.
In Odisha, the corridor will pass through nine districts—Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, and Koraput—connecting 27 cities and significantly improving transport links across the state. The corridor is also expected to strengthen connectivity to major mineral belts and economic zones, potentially boosting industrial growth and regional development.
