Greater Bhubaneswar Region
- History - Currently only 419 sq km around Bhubaneswar, Khurda and Jatni
- History - Greater Capital region (1100 sq km) was mooted in 2016 and added Cuttack
- This plan: adds Puri and Paradip and thus will encompass Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri and Paradip
- It will have an area of 8500 sq km., bigger than Bengaluru (8053 sq km) and Chennai (8201 sq km)
- Its total population is 40 lakhs now, and expected to be 50 lakhs in 10 years
- Future plan: a New satellite city near Bhubaneswar
- Metro train
